Analysis: Brennan Beyer has been a varsity starter since his sophomore year. He was 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-League, 1st Team All-Detroit West, and 1st Team All-Metro Detroit in his junior season. In his senior season, Beyer averaged 5.1 tackles per game, 0.9 sacks per game, and 43.6 receiving yds per game. During that same season, he was ranked 15th in rreceiving, 6th in sacks, 15th in scoring, and 72nd in tackles in the state of Michigan. Beyers is able to over power most offensive lineman with a combination of quick hands, quick cuts with his feet and a quick burst off the line of scrimmage. Starting for three seasons in high school allowed Beyer to garner a vast amount of experience. This experience helped laud him as one of the top defensive recruits in his state. Beyer plays the game of football with great intensity. In order to reach his full potential at the collegiate level he is going to need to gain more weight. A task he will undoubtedly accomplish in a short matter of time. Beyer may be able to see some serious playing time toward mid-season or his sophomore year. This is all dependent on how hard he works in practice, in the classroom and how well he does going against the massive Michigan upperclassmen.
