Analysis: Tony declared himself a Wolverine on August 11, 2010 and has remained faithful to the Maize and Blue with just hours to go until National Signing Day.
The factors that drew Posada to the University of Michigan were not only the great football tradition, great campus, and the beautiful city of Ann Arbor, as he labeled it in the above video, but also the great tradition of the offensive linemen that have played in The Big House.
Standing tall at 6’5” and weighing in at around 325, Posada may remind some of former Wolverine and the #1 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, Jake Long. He possesses the physical traits that one needs to perform at the offensive tackle position, but will need to continue to work on honing skills such as footwork and staying low.
If Posada progresses well during the early practices and throughout the season, I would not be shocked to see him get some playing time as a freshman. If he does not see the field during the 2011 season, that would just give Coach Hoke and the Wolverines four seasons from the 2012 season through the 2015 season to lead the Michigan offensive line at one of the tackle positions.
